Problems with Youtube and Smart TV

I recently purchased a UN55F6300AF smart TV and have recently encountered some problems with Youtube. When I first setup the TV about a week ago I was able to seamlessly connect to it using the Youtube app on my Samsung Galaxy S4 without a pairing code. All I had to do was connect the TV to my wifi network and I was able to cast youtube videos on my phone onto the TV as long as the TV was on. This, however, no longer seems to be the case. Although the youtube app on my phone can still see the TV as an available casting option, as soon as I select it, it will give me an error to connect message and refuse to maintain a connection.

I can still link youtube on my TV and smartphone together by pairing them manually inside the youtube app on the TV, but it creates a new connection option that only works when I start the youtube app on the TV. The options I end up with now under Youtube TV cast options on my phone are "[TV]Samsung LED55" which doesn't work and "YouTube TV 2" which does.

The "What's Hot" recommendations of youtube videos under the Social section of Smart Hub also seems to not be working. When ever I select a video from that menu and click play I get the popup, "Installing apps... You will be able to access all your social sites when they're installed" even though I clearly have the youtube app installed. When I click OK I'm lend into Samsung Apps with the option to Run or Uninstall the youtube app.

I some way it feels like the youtube app is completely disjointed from Smart Hub now. I have tried reinstalling the youtube app, resetting smart hub, and factory resetting the TV all to no avail. What else can be done?
