Samsung Galaxy S 4G calling issue

I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G T959 (1st generation) for almost over a year now. When I got it, there wasn't any issue. But for the last few months, I've been facing simple calling issue with this phone. Whenever I try to make a call & press the "Phone" function, the dial-pad takes some time to show up. Then when it comes, it doesn't take long for it to disappear. The dial-pad screen vanishes within seconds before I can punch in 10-digit phone number. Sometimes I have to keep trying until maybe in my 10th try, I finally can make the call. When it vanishes, I mean it goes back to the main home screen. In the recent few weeks, the problem is getting even severe. I could try to make the call in 8th or 10th try, but now, I might have to try for 15 or 20 times to successfully place a call. This also happens when I go into the "Call Log" section. The screen vanishes to go back to main menu.
Several tips/tricks I tried was deleting all my call log list. But that only seems to resolve the issue for maybe few hours. I even restarted several times. That also resolves the issue for few hours maybe. But the overall problem still persists on the long run.
I really wish a Samsung professional would help me sort out the problem with my phone.
