Grateful for any assist on this - issue is with a Samsung HCN4226W (Svc model HCN4226WX/XAA 3CEW700188X)
we just had our Samsung 61" DLP go out and using the web, believe I have found the solution (digital board). While it'ss down I pulled our samsung HCN4226W 42" dlp TV out of the guest bedroom to use - have had it since new, used one time when it was set up in 2003, and never again since .
Hooked it up to the family media center last nite and it worked fine for about 2 hours then I noticed first, red stripes on peoples faces just under the eyes, similar to NFL football players putting black under their eyes. Then while I was going thru the color adjust settings to see if I could correct that, the picture started to climb vertically so there was at first a 4" black bar at the bottom while the top of the picture disappeared above the upper edge of the screen. That 4" bar grew to a 6-7" black bar.
Then the bottom edge of the displayed picture developed a rolling curve and that same distortion crept up into the picture itself and then the screen has gone all black. And now if we try to turn it on, all we get is a 3 tone beep sequence that keeps repeating every 30 - 60 seconds and to stop that i have to turn it off at the surge protector strip.
What could go bad on a tv kept in an air conditioned environment - only other input I can think to offer is that as it had it's own wheels under the stand, we rolled it on a carpeted floor from the guest BR to the family room - could the vibrations moving it have upset something?
