Purchase a Samsung Smart Tv . July 2012.
Model # UN40EH5300
Software Version T-MST10PAUSC-1029.2
Smart Hub version 4.5311-5.0
Netflix version 3.105
Netflix worked well for 5 months, then the first update in late 2012 early 2013 it started having problems playing titles in Netflix.
Selecting a movie it would time out after less then 1 second and say "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try again later or select a different title."
I would have to click the ok button sometimes up to 8 times before it would play.
In late Feb another issue occurred on the smart hub, a service box popped up in smart hub and said something like , "service under maintenance "and after selecting the only button available, OK and returning to the screen later I noticed most of my installed apps where deleted.
I contacted Samsung and they said there Main server crashed and would be back sometime around March 4 or 5.
Checked back in March 6 and the updates where loading on the smart hub and all apps where back.
Now I have to enter my email and password each time I use Netflix and also the problem when selecting a title.
Note: Neflix works perfectly on a my computer or laptop.
I have contacted Samsung and Netflix and was asked to try these solutions and still have the same problems.
1-Log into Netflix account and using the arrow keys on the remote deactivate Netflix.
2-I reset the tv to factory settings many times.
3-Connected my tv directly to my modem with a Cat 5 cable
4-Reloaded Netflix app
Does anybody have a solution yet?
Can the original software version be installed on my tv?
I know I'm not alone with these same problems , it seems like this all happened when Samsung forced some updates on my Tv.
