Samsung Blu-Ray BD-P3600 won't connect wireless

My Samsung Blu-Ray BD-P3600 cannot detect any wireless signals. My computer is able to pick up my wireless signal in the same are (w/ full signal), and my wireless router is right in the room next to my Blu-Ray. When I select Setup>Network>Wireless Network>Access Point it says "Wireless Access Point Cannot Be Found". I know it's not just my wireless router that it's having problems w/ as it's not picking up any wireless networks (I can see all 10 of my neighbors networks on my computer). Help! I really want to connect my Blu-Ray to the internet...was the whole point of buying it w/ the wireless functionality. Thanks in advance!

But you bring up a good point. Should the industry have used such a technical solution that has everyone becoming a network guru?

Also there are other reasons for it to not show such as a network with a name that is non-alphanumeric.
