Create an account keyboard is blank.

I am trying to create an app account on my Samsung Blu-Ray DVD. When I follow the prompts to enter an email address and password, the QWERTY keyboard is blank. I have tried it several times without success. The BRD connected to my wireless network without problems and otherwise works perfectly. Anyone have any suggestions? ... is anyone at Samsung listening and can give me some advice?
