Colored pixels watching 3D

So I have a Samsung PN51D550C1F. Everything looks great til I watch 3D. When their is a dark or solid black screen (like switching to 3D) I get great and red pixels in the center and right part of the screen. While watching 3D with dark screens I get the same thing. Any idea of what this may be? Is it fixable? I have a 2 yr warranty through Bestbuy, the tv is one year and a tech will be out tomorrow]

Hi Slcpnk,

I'd need to see it myself before I'd venture a guess because your description isn't giving me enough to go off of, but since you have a technician coming out, this may be the best option.

yea I know its hard to describe. Its like a big blur or red and green colors that are in the center of the screen and to the right center of the screen. Only happens on 3D...hoping I dont have to get a new tv

I'm having same issues with red and green lines in 3D mode

I have the exact same problem, when switched to 3D mode I get green and red vertical lines. If I push the top corners of the tv the problem goes away until I let go, then it comes back.

All that means is that some connection is not working when you let go. Your TV tech can use that clue to guess what part(s) need replacing.

In the USA you can hit samsung.com to arrange for service.

Appears to be a know issue that happens to older tv's and not new one. Replacing the board this week. We will see if that works

Your test tells me it's a connection issue. If that connection is some tab bond I can see why you replace the board.
