Sound Bar Connection

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-52D85UN TV with a number of HDMI inputs. I believe it is CEC but not ARC enabled. It is currently connected to a Bell Expressvu Satellite box via an HDMI cable on HDMI Input 7. All I want to do is connect a Samsung HW-E450 sound bar to this setup and be able to control the sound volume with the TV remote (in this case a Bell remote which is programmed to turn the TV on/off and raise/lower the volume). How can I do this? The TV has a number of HDMI inputs AND the Sound Bar has an HDMI IN and HDMI out connection. I've looked high and low and can find no answer.

Hi Keith Turner,

You'll need to make sure that whatever you need to do from the Sharp's side for CEC is configured. For Samsung TVs, this involves enabling a feature and connecting the HDMI cable to a particular port. For the sound bar, you simply need to press the button on the remote marked as Anynet+; it's on the second row below the power buttons.
