Alternate solution to playing albums in track order

Still not ideal, but the Samsung Smart TV does play PLAYLISTS in order, so you could create a playlist for each album. Could be a real hassle if you have hundreds of albums (as I do) and therefore hundreds of PLAYLISTs.

It's a very old problem dating back over a few decades. Yes, MP3 has been around since before 1995 and very quickly folk figured out the file names and such were a problem.

As this is a TV and not a PC, you see the limitations of a not so smart tv.

but I dont what to do a playlist for every CD!!
As you wrote, I also have hundreds of CD ripps on the HD... :-((

Hi - thx for your post.
But this does only work, if you delete the "titel" in the MP3 tag of the MP3 file. :-((
So you have to modify every MP3 file of hunderts of CD ripps - thats not possible...

The hint you given, is also the official statement of the samsung support...

MP3 File Renamer. There are dozens of software titles to ease this issue. The Smart TV has only been around a few years and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by writing they are peddling as hard as they can to create a new system.

It's not like they were on a PC.
