Samsung forum: Galaxy noteI N7000 messaging application always active why,

Indeed, this is a major problem with the note1. after closing all the applications, still the task manager indicates that the messaging is active. Now the samsung service centre have accepted its a problem and they will reply to me in two days because they dont have immediate remedy. NB; only messaging application is always running. why?, it doesnt close or stop.

If you did try to stop it, that's very odd since it's a basic service and may have dependencies to other apps such as the phone app/service.

You bring up a good point however. Does a maker have to offer books and articles on the OSes and apps they use?

why are all other applications closing while messaging doesnt? Infact samsung sercice centre have acknowledged there is a problem with this phone and other samsung phones. Now they cannot solve the probel. seems its like a manufacturing problem. NB: all applications can close except messaging. why? now one has given me an answer even samsung manufacturer themselves.

Services or apps that have inter-dependencies. Since I can't hold a course on OSes here I have to keep it short.

In other words, I expect some services to not respond to end task commands. Since this is a core service of a phone again, it's expected.

Maybe if we knew what the issue you are trying to solve is, others can re-explain it.

I assume you know more about phones than i do. Have you ever got a smart phone behavign like mine?
yeah, it might be a basic reason but its a fault.. If its normal its like saying " its normal to have a car headlights never going off": in other words my phone messaging application is always active. why? get samsung guys to solve this mess.

You bring up a good question. That is, should the maker offer courses or enough detail for everyday folk to understand the system?

Nothing seems wrong in this service not ending. But I'm looking at this from my view of OSes, phones and more. Along the way I've worked on many cellular systems such as 2-way paging in the 90's. So for now all I can tell you is things are working as they should but to write why this is, won't fit in this small space.

After checking your problem. when you click on Exit all in Task manager, there was annoucement "This may occur error". This is default for every Galaxy mobile phones, not only your N7000 . It doesn't affect to other process of your phone.

basically they haven't explained why the messaging app is active 24/7, and what error might occur as warned in the phone's task manager.
