Samsung BD-E6500 and Fios Remote

Hey everyone. This is my first post although I have been browsing this site for years now.

Anyway, I just got FIOS from Verizon since they finally got service to my area. The issue I am having though is that I can't get their remote to connect to my Samsung 3D bluray player. I tried all their manual codes and even went through the entire remote search feature (like 300 pushes of the "next" button...). It wouldn't normally bother me too much, but my Directv remote did work with it and I'd like to just have the one remote.

I saw another thread on here where Comcast users managed to get a Samsung tv working using a 5 digit code from some other source. I tried using Directv's 5 digit code for the FIOS remote and it gave me the error blinks. So, I guess my question is:

Has anyone found a code that worked or am I just going to have to purchase a Harmony remote?

Hi Tadarice,

As much as I'd like to help, the remote codes are created by the company that manufactures the remote. So you can try other codes on the FIOS remote or try contacting Verizon to see if they have any further remote codes.
