Samsung forum: How do I connect Samsung smart tv to old Yamaha reciever?

Yes, I can read that one, but I do not know what a "mini-jack output" or what "optical audion" is though.

I took some photos to show how I connected it, maby it helps.

I see Component AV IN

Those are inputs or audio into the TV.

Above that you can see the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) so just like everyone else you get an optical to analog convertor next. This runs under 30 USD here.

Thank you for the help! I really appreciate it.

Although, the cheapest ones I found here was about 90 USD...
Do you know if there is a way to connect the receiver via my bluray to the tv? It was a bit to expensive for my taste.
