Can anyone advise on my legal position. My series 9 laptop would not boot - read about this problem on the Internet, something to do with a jack. Anyhow, it has been collected for repair. Their 3rd party says there is liquid damage and so not covered by warranty and want £85 ex vat for return or I pay minimum £500 for repair.
I was confident that it would be covered by warranty so am shocked at their response and now they will not return my laptop without paying their "minimum service charge" which I understood would be if I gave them the go ahead to repair it.
Advice?
