Bad pixels, great news - for me!

I had to note my experience with Samsung here because I was so shocked. I was ready to toss my 5-1/2 yr old HLT6187SX because of all the bad pixels. I thought I'd call Samsung first on the off chance they would repair it - they said they would!! No charge!! The guy came within 2 days, spent 15mins, no BS, and left. No pleading, no threatening, no cost! Un-f'ing-believable! I love good customer service.

Today I called Samsung customer support because my 50 inch plasma have six black lines going through it. My set is 18 months old and no longer under warranty. Customer Service offered to give me the name of a repair shop (I had to cover all expenses). I explained to her that this is a known issue with these plasma sets and she need to come up with a better solution. I was given a transaction number and a promised of a call back with in 48 hours. I have no idea what to expect. M
