Samsung UE55C6000RWXG HDTV Calibration

Hello,

I am hoping that someone can help me calibrate my T.V to get the best possible picture out of it. I am connnected to Sky Digital with the HD package and have set my Movie, Natural,Standard, and Dynamic modes all back to the orginal factory settings. I have read alot about how to calibrate your T.V to get the most out of it ignoring the factory settings. I a wondering ifanyone out there has any recommended settings for 2 of the modes? one for watching at night and one for watching during the day. I have been searching the web for ages and hve fund nothing specific for my model of T.V.

Hi Andew,

Per your request over here (http://forums.cnet.com/7726-13973_102-5412640.html), I decided to give my comment.

The factory defaults for TV settings are meant to be a good, general baseline. Most people will stick with one of the settings and be quite happy with it. Other people will want to mess around with the settings to get it just the way they like it.

TV color calibration is generally about your environment and preference. By environment, I don't just mean the lighting, both natural and artificial; I mean viewing angles for everyone, the background color the TV sits in front of, etc. And then you have taste (personal preference) of what colors you like increased and general brightness preference. So based on all those things, I can't really recommend settings for you.

Thanks alot for your reply here...

I know that they have DVD's or Blu-ray's out there to calibrate to get the best picture you can out of your T.V. Disney's WOW for example or any DVD with THX programming on it. I was just hoping that someone on this forum might have already had some some settings that i could try out which work well for them.
