I hope someone can help! Regarding Samsung LCD un46B8500xf. I turn on the power, blue light comes on, no picture just 2 clicks followed by 2 clicks 3 seconds later. The clicks repeat after about 10 seconds. I replaced the power board along with the inverter board. I couldn't find the capacitors on the power board so I replaced the whole board . The clicking sound comes from the power board near the 2 plugs in the upper right corner. After replacing the 2 new boards, the 2 clicks were followed by only 1 click but resumed after 10 seconds like before. Any thoughts? Thanks!

No Service Manual

Bob, thanks for your response. I don't have a service manual. I read about all the Samsung capacitor issues and wanted to fix just the damaged capacitors figuring that was the problem. This model is different so I thought the new power board would solve the problem. I am pretty much winging it! I guess the next step would be to get the service manual. I probably should have done that first! I spoke to Samsung. They only offered the number of a service company. I thought I could fix it myself!

As you probably have discovered there is no forum where TV repair is discussed today. That is, the days where you would open the oven (that's the back of the TV set that had all the glowing vacuum tubes) and replace a tube or scorched item is long gone. Today we swap boards 99% of the time.

Thanks again Bob. That site looks good. I'm not sure if I should purchase the manual or take it to a repair shop at this point. I've replaced 2 of the 4 boards. I kinda thought I knew what I was doing...now I'm just guessing!
