LN40A500T1FXZA CN01 Samsung 40'' Lcd HDTV Problem

This is a problem I am having with my TV, if anyone has seen this problem before and knows what's wrong, please tell me. Smacking the TV on the back seems to fix it sometimes, and other times smacking it just changes the position of the problem on the screen. When I move my cursor over the problem area, it seems to lag in place than move to where it's supposed to be. I followed these steps, short of contacting service, and nothing worked. The reason I didn't contact support is because I got this TV on Craigs List.

You should find diagnostic trees that a tech uses to read voltages, or other signs and tells the tech which board to replace. I think you know that few folk will have this unless they want to repair such a TV and if they repair TVs you know they don't share such. Each shop I've worked at keeps those out of sight.

shopjimmy.com also sells parts. I don't think they have a full diagnostic service for those that are just starting their career in repair but couldn't hurt to ask them what part they would replace first.
