audio output to home theater speaker

i purchesed new SAMSUNG LED TV (MODEL NO: UA40EH5030R) i play TV channel the audio come out only TV speaker. not in external speaker. There is no mention in rear of the TV, is it output or input.

how i connect my external speaker(amplifier system) to hear sound from it.

It shows a headphone jack and optical but your post didn't tell which you used.
