Content it can't play?

On the TV, the USB drive is "media play" which I think is intended for just pictures. But if I plug in a music file(.wma) on a 1GB thumb drive that has been partitioned in FAT32 it works. The same file on the external drive, also in FAT32, doesn't register.

Ask Samsung about how to have it re-read the drive. Also you find limits on the number of files per folder and more. You're close to a solution but as I don't know all the particulars you have to get them on the phone to walk through it all.

Again, if you plug in some USB drive and it reads a folder then you add more to that folder, the new files may not be seen. There's a small debate if that's a bug. It is definitely a limitation and there are reasons for this but consumers are not going to like it.

Try naming the volume to another name too.

Try NTFS format

Wow! I can't imagine why anyone would want a 2 GB drive formatted fat32. Fat32 is OK for flash drives, but when you're dealing with hard drives, you really need to use NTFS. Try reformatting to NTFS and see if that doesn't fix your problem.

Yeah, I'd rather have it NTFS, but according to my TV owners manual the USB drive will only read FAT32.
