Samsung UE46ES6300 composite AV cable - no audio

I have bought a composite AV cable to play music from my iPod through my Smart 3D TV.

The videos and photos work but not the audio. When I press Source, it shows AV but when I click on this, it tells me to check the cables, source, etc - which doesn't make sense as the videos work.

When I tried it last night, eventually I got the music to play (don't know how as I didn't change any settings but today, I cannot get the music to play - again, the videos, movies and photos are working.

I have tried the cable on two Samsung televisions with the same result but it does work fine on an ONN tv!
Can anyone help, please?

Thank you for your reply.

I have contacted Samsung UK via their website on several occasions but either I get no reply or irrelevant information! I have now written to Samsung's Customer Service Department in Gateshead, asking for their help and commenting on the poor after-sales service I have received.

I am hoping that I may get a satisfactory reply and a solution to this problem.
