Samsung 60E550 picture best when menu is up?

I've hooked up my laptop up to my new tv, and I'm finding that the picture is brightest and clearest when I turn the menu on. Just wondering if anyone else is finding this, and if so, do you know the settings required to make the picture like that.

Hi,

The model number is PN60E550D1FXZC. I'm not saying I'm unhappy with the TV at all. I love it. It was just something I noticed, and because I spend so much time looking at LCD and LED screens, I may have developed a preference for the brightness...lol The only time I really noticed it was when my laptop was hooked up through a HDMI port.

Ah, I see. I thought you were saying that it dropped off in the brightness over time of something. So this is a different story altogether. Have you tried changing video mode to Dynamic to increase the brightness?

I was able to play with the setting a bit and setting it to dynamic did help.

Hello. I plan on purchasing a Samsung 60 inch plasma 1080 3d tv (class E550) this Friday. I would like to know if I can buy/use the Samsung 2 sided qwerty keyboard remote with it. I have researched online and I can't get a def answer. As long as tv have built in wifi which is does, should be able to pair the 2. But I'm not sure. Please help. Thank you.
