BD-D5700 Blu-Ray Player - Audio/Video Synch

We have had our blu-ray player just over 12 months and we were streaming Netflix and the video flickered and paused a couple times causing the two to not be synched. I thought this was just a online issue, but yesterday I was playing a DVD (not blu-ray) and the player would not respond to the remote control, it would eventually obey but it was way too long. Today another DVD skipped and paused, much like the Netflix issue and the voice and audio dropped out of synch.

Any suggestions as to a fix for this?

Head to samsung.com to register your unit and maybe get 3 more months warranty and then call it in.

These players are not free from maintenance. That is, if a speck of dust lands on the right spot, playback issues will happen. I find most of today's consumers disregard that we are still using devices that need our cleaning and attention but some folk don't want to know. They just want it to work.

Hope you get the extension so you don't have to deal with it.

I'm sorry for the problems you've been having. I'd recommend you try a hard reset on your device: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/SupportOwnersFAQPopup.do?faq_id=FAQ00045737&fm_seq=48457
