AllShare Install Problem

I bought a BD-EM57 Blu-Ray player and hooked it up to my wireless network. I want to play files from my Win7 computer on the player. I downloaded and installed (4 times!) the Samsung AllShare software. When I try and open AllShare I see it for about 5 seconds and then I get a Windows message that says the program "has stopped working and will close now". Can anyone help me? Thank you!

Hi Paul,

Sorry about the delay. Have you done the typical things like turn off antivirus and software firewalls? This is mostly going to be a PC troubleshooting thing, so any details about your PC setup would be appreciated.

I no end of bother with Allshare, try Serviio (its free), and has worked flawlessly for me.

Well, smurph12, I must admit I tried Serviio and you are absolutely right. I was up and file sharing in less than two minutes. And I didn't have to turn off my antivirus program. Which is good because I'm trying to avoid viruses. Thank you too, HD Tech, but the alternative was just too easy. I've wasted too much time on AllShare already.

Glad to be of service and that it worked so well. I had tried several alternatives, and this was the one that worked flawlessly.
I wish Samsung could get there act together (in many ways)!!
