Samsung 55es6500 question

Just purchased a samsung 55es6500 3d smart tv. I have att unverse cable box, samsung blue ray player, and xbox im trying to hook up. Also have a boston accoustic sound bar. xbox will work in any hdmi inputs. blue ray player and att unverse cable box will only work in the hdmi arc input, but only have one hdmi arc input. this is very annoying. soundbar hooked up with optical wire. not sure why att unverse wont work on other hdmi inputs because we had it hooked up to an older flat panel with no hdmi arc and it worked just fine. can anyone help, please?

Hi minfranca,

I'm going to assume you have a UN55ES6500. I find this very surprising that the XBox will work on all inputs, but both the Blu-ray player and U-verse STB will only work on the ARC input. What are the model numbers for the Blu-ray player and the U-verse STB?

Model number for uverse box
vip1225

Model number for the blue ray is
samsung bd-e5900

thanks for your help.

i find it very strange as well that they are not working in any other hdmi. the unverse box has worked on two previous flat panel tvs with no arc hdmi inputs.

OK, so let's try turning off Anynet+ on the TV: Menu > System > Anynet+. Let me know the results if you will?

tried that and im getting a message that says no signal, then it flashes to another message that says mode not supported, change resolution on external device. this is what it has been saying all along. the xbox still works, the cable box is working because it's in the arc hdmi, but the blue ray is still not working. thanks for all your help. it's really frustrating cause we like the tv, but just want all components to work with it!

OK, so let's rule out the cables causing any problems: could you try switching cables on these devices? Also, how long are these cables? 5 feet, 10 feet, etc.?
