Samsung forum: My new Samsung 55" keeps shutting off after few seconds

I can't help you but have some advice.

1. Register your TV at www.samsung.com. Why? Because in the USA Samsung was adding 3 months to the warranty for folk that did this. This doesn't appear to get it solidly back into warranty but it might help. See item 2.

2. Now get your sales date and see when it was delivered. One date is usually not the other so that adds a few days. Get your TRANSACTION NUMBER and that date you called it in. With a little luck this will be inside or exactly at the 15 month warranty and make this go a lot easier.

3. IT IS THE WEEKEND! I can't stress this enough. The rep rarely checks in so get the items above all done and if inside the 15 months try again. And try the Facebook method at the top of this forum at

I know folk don't like to do this, but extended warranties are very good ideas on expensive things.

In my state (California) your warranty is extended by the time the product is out for repair. It's a little used law but in a few exceptions I've reminded folk and it pushes the dates around just enough.

It's the weekend, so try the phone, that facebook thing and collect those transaction numbers.
