Samsung LN37A550 Reboots With Live Source on Startup

Whenever I turn my TV on with a live source (antenna signal, Xbox, etc) the TV locks up and has a scrambled image and sometimes makes a very loud screeching noise. After about 10 seconds it reboots and works fine until I shut it off for a while (normally an hour or more) and turn it on again.

If I leave the TV on a non-live source (as in I shut the Xbox off and then don't change source) and then shut the TV off. When I turn it back on with the Xbox off so there is no signal going to the TV it turns on with no issues.

This TV is was part of the capacitor settlement and I've already had them replace the capacitors and the problem still exists.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this issue? The settlement also covers a replacement power unit, should have that replaced as well?

Why I ask is as I read http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/LN37A550P3FXZA?tabContent=content2 I see the firmware date is 2008 so it appears this would not be a firmware bug but a board that needs changed out.

This is a fairly new problem (I would say the last two or three months). I'm still running the same firmware that came with the TV. I'm only one version behind what is posted on that link and the issue it solved I never experienced so I never applied it. I could try upgrading it to see if that helps. I purchased it sometime in 2008 I believe.

Firmware Upgrade Didn't Work

So I upgraded the firmware to 1.006.1 (made sure to do the 1.005.1 first) and the upgrade went fine. Then I left the TV off for a couple hours. When I turned it on it still did the same scrambled image, mostly vertical green and black lines, and the loud screeching noise.
