Samsung LCD keeps changing source

Hi folks, here is a little tip.
I have a 3 year-old 22" LCD Samsung bought here in Germany. Recently, the remote control wouldn't operate the TV set correctly, the set kept flickering between sources (TV, Ext1, Ext2, PC) and showing many different problems with the bottons on the set and the remote.
I left the power cable disconnected for 3 days to get a reboot when turnung the set back on and I tried to update the software through USB. Nada, nothing, kaputt!
So I decided to open the back cover to check the capacitors (all in order) and to try reseat all the cables. Didn't work.
Reading today one tip here in CNet, that the bottons are still working even when they are not pressed, so I decided to disconnect the 3-wire cable that runs from the botton's board to the remote sensor's board and BINGO! the remote came back to work normally. And the TV does not change between sources anymore!
What a wonderfull feeling!!!!
I took the board with the buttons out and I will search for a new one.
Thanks a million to the guy who wrote the tip posted in 2009 here in CNet.
