How do I access wireless feature on my HDTV?

The cable folks started out the door when I asked about the wireless feature on my new TV...they ran back in, showed me the TV remote (as distinct from the cable remote), and ran out the door. I've tried playing around a bit without success, but really need step by step and the manual doesn't seem to help. Anybody have "Directions for Dummies?"
