How can I use a keyboard/mouse with a Samsung Smart TV model UN40ES6150. It doesn't appear to recognize any wireless. A call to tech support said that it should recognize any usb keyboard (it doesn't) or any hdmi keyboard... ??? Didn't know they existed and I don't know what to look for. Are there any suggestions? Also, this TV is on a wall, how would I get any type of keyboard to work with this that would allow me to sit on the couch while the TV is on the wall... do they make anything with a 30-40 foot cable even on it?? I'm at a loss on how to use this....

Clarification request: Did you try an USB KEYBOARD?

And list what models you tried. As to 30 or 40 feet that's beyond all wireless keyboards you find in stores. Even BlueTooth is iffy past 15 feet from my experience.

Let me be clear. No off the shelf at the usual stores will solve this wirelessly.

Ask if you can use some Android or iPad to do this over WiFi.

One of them said Logictech, the other was a Microsoft, both were usb but neither was recognized by the TV. I search of the internet does not give me any instructions on how to make any keyboard work with it. I don't have a ton of various keyboards just sitting around to test so I was hoping someone in the Samsung forum could direct me to what to do or buy. I realize that wireless won't go that far, but as it won't accept any wireless keyboard, then I would need to use a wired keyboard which would need a very, very, very long cable so that I can string it from the back of the TV all the way around the room to where it would be used. Otherwise, you would be sitting with a cable strung right through the middle of the room, not a good idea. I did ask the tech at Samsung about an app, he said there may be one for a phone but he wasn't sure. I have an ipad, but couldn't find an app that said it would act as a keyboard. If you know the name of such an app, please let me know.

But I didn't see the models you tried. Try a wired USB keyboard. Most desktops have those today and you can borrow it.

Here's the Samsung iPad app to try. Sorry again but I didn't do your research for you if this works with this set.
