Why is there a red vertical line on my 42" LCD TV?

I have a Samsung 42" LCD TV that is four to five years old. Recently it has developed a red vertical line that is approximately one pixel wide that runs the vertical length of the screen. This happens almost every time the TV is turned on. After about 15 minutes it goes away.

About a year ago I had capacitor problems with the power supply and had those replaced.

What is happening here?
