Samsung BD-C5500 Blue Ray Player locked

I have had a Samsung BD-C5500 unit for a couple of years and all has been OK, However it was only just yesterday that I purchased a Samsung Linkstick to access Internet TV etc.

I plugged in the linkstick and connected to my wireless router no problem, Installed a few apps etc and all went OK, however I accepted an upgrade of somesort and now my unit is locked in the "samsung blue ray player screen". When I turn on the unit it goes to this screen and no matter what I do I cant get the screen with the menu options for video, internet TV, photos etc.

I have tried resetting the unit by pressing and holding stop for 8 seconds but nothing happens, also tried viewing this in AV mode but still the same problem.

Can anyone help with this please? thanks
