Hi, I have recently arrived in Cyprus, I ordered the Samsung monitor, but had not used it until it was shipped.

I do not appear to have any sound...does this monitor have inbuilt speakers? or are there settings that I have not found to switch them on. I'm trying to set up a webcam, the video works, but no sound, no sound from any youtube clips etc... all the PC settings, drivers and properties indicate that everything is working as it should.

I am running windows 7 64 bit.

Didn't think/realise I would need external speakers, but if someone could tell me... at least I will know. LOL

Currently can't think of any other options, welcome suggestions

Hi fatcatz123,

I tried to find that model, but I didn't have enough of the model code to determine which model it was. Any chance you could get the complete model code. That would be the best way to answer your question.

However, if you don't want to bother with that, here are some other things you can check.

If you have it connected with a DVI or VGA cable, then even if it have has speakers, you won't hear anything because you'll need to have an audio cable connecting your monitor to your PC. If you're using HDMI, then could be carrying sound.

A further step would be to look through the on-screen display menu. If that has no controls, then it may not have speakers.
