Audio Codec decoding, is it done by player or AV receiver?

Hi! I'm planning to purchase a BluRay player and I need to know if it's desirable to get a player that can decode each and every Audio Codec (DD, DD+,Dolby TrueHD,DTS etc etc), given that I will be coupling it with a receiver namely an ONKYO HT-S9400 THX or HT-S8409, that can decode all of that. Does the BluRay player does a bit of decoding before passing the signal to the receiver or does the receiver do it all? Thanks and Cheers!

Hi Ph8Nix,

You'll want to get products that are compatible with what's listed, but this is rather a moot point as even our lowest model has all those decoders you mentioned: http://www.samsung.com/us/video/blu-ray-dvd/BD-E5300/ZA-features
