Samsung LCD Not Dectecting PC Through VGA

My Samsung LCD (model # LN46A580P6FXZA) is connected to my iMac through a brand new mini VGI adapter to brand new VGA cable. My iMac is able to detect the Samsung, but the TV states: This Source is Not Connected. Please Check Cable.
I was able to 'trick' the Samsung in to decting the PC by grounding the Pin #10 on the VGA cable. This gave me the abilty to choose PC in my source options on the TV. But then my TV says Please Check Cable. There is No Picture and screen is black. I have tried turning off both devices and starting one before the other. I have tried switching the VGA Cable Ends (though it is directional either way). Computer sees Samsung, Samsung actually shows Resolution Size in top left corner of screen, but No Image, just black. Please Help.
