Any Plans for later compatibility?

So my understanding from your reply, and others' tests is that:
The keyboard works in smart Hub and inside the browser, but not inside YouTube and not inside NetFlix
Is there any confirmed plans to add such capability?
What about a single mouse? Is there any compatible mouse for this device? Or a separate tocuhpad?

Hi alireza350057,

I think most if not nearly all apps will eventually be compatible, as this is obviously a very useful feature. But I don't have any idea on the timeline of any particular app. Some apps update every 2-3 months; others update every 8-12 months.

Yes, there is mouse support for the browser and Smart Hub. To verify it, I grabbed a random USB mouse and plugged it into a 2012 model. It instantly found the mouse and displayed a cursor over the Smart Hub GUI. I will not that not all mice will work, but I daresay a great many will work just fine.

I have recently bought a Samsung Wireless keyboard for my ES8000 and can confirm that it will only work with the browser app. However, you still need to click in the relevant field to bring up the keyboard dialog before you can begin typing with the keyboard. While it is better than scrolling through letters with the remote, it is still very 'clunky' to use.

Hopefully support for the keyboard will improve on a later firmware revision. The touchpad on the keyboard is similar to the smart control, in that it is not very sensitive and not easy to use the buttons to perform 'mouse clicks'. For that reason I still want to get a separate mouse.

Any recommendations for a compatible Bluetooth mouse for the ES8000? I have read in some forums that not all mouses will connect to a Samsung TV.
