Put images on the video icons in AllShare Play

I am trying to extract all my DVD's and put them on a harddisk, so I can fetch them much faster on my Samsung ue55es6535.
This works fine, but now I just have a lot of names on a standard movie icon in AllShare Play, if I start the movie it shows an image from the movie, which is ok, but the next day these images are gone, I would like to have images to get shown, when I open the list, for all the movies.

So my question is: Is there a way to put an external image next to the movie file, which automatically gets shown in AllShare Play, kinda like a subtitle file, which are connected to a movie file?

does not have folders, the TV will
display files or thumbnails."

If you take that literally then if you have a folder in with your files, no thumbnails.

Also, it notes no thumbnails if the content is from web or network drive.

Not in the manual

I know that its not in the manual.

But there isn't anything in the manual about subtitle files either, so I had to figure that out by googling, and figured out that I could use "SAMI (*.sam)" subtitle files, since "SubRip (*.srt)" didn't work.

So I was hoping that there was a nonManualDocumented feature which i could use.
