Dear All,
I have purchased The Avengers on 3D blu ray and was excited to watch this. Only to find out it will not play in my blu ray player.
When i put in the disc, it goes to Language Selection as it should, after this the Marvel Intro plays. At the time the player tells you to switch on the 3D glasses (where it should say play-scene selection-setup) it stops/crashes. When exiting and entering you can use the menu options ( play-scene selection-setup) so when i use scene selection to a random scene... it doesn't do anything, just black or distorted screen.
- Anyone else had these experience?
- Anyone have any idea of how to solve this?
Player: Samsun HT-C5900
Firmware: HTB-C6930WWB-1013.2 (standard installed one)

Hi laurabs24,
When it's all Blu-ray discs that aren't working, that's a hardware issue of some kind. It could just be a dirty reading laser, since the Blu-ray players have two lasers: one for Blu-ray discs and another for DVDs and CDs. So I'd suggest you try a Blu-ray disc cleaner, and if that doesn't work, then it'll need servicing; here's the thread where you can get details on setting up service, if you need it: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-542437/service-issues-click-here-for-help/

Very sorry about the trouble you've been having. Have you checked to make sure the firmware for the player is up to date?

Can't play Men in Black 3d HT-C5900

I'm in the UK and have tried updating firmware which I downloaded from website and I just get an error message - tried both usb and disc in machine to update. I know it is the machine as the dvd will play fine in my ps3.
Nothing but problems on HT-C5950W

Since doing the update we have had nothing but problems with our blu ray player. It now won't play certain discs even though these used to play fine before. Its now gotten to the point where it wont read any discs not even out blu ray cleaner!! After spending hours on the phone with Samsung and still not really getting anywhere (can't even re-set the stupid machine) hopefully consumer affairs will be more helpful.. Feel like I wasted $4000 on this stupid set up which now doesn't play.
