My 2 year old TV (Series 32B460) has no picture or sound all of a sudden. I watched the news this morning and when i turned the set back on this evening, nothing. When i tried changing channels, the channel and program info came onto the screen as always. I was able to change source to my blu-ray player, which had a disc in it, but still no picture. Thus, i believe all of the connections are fine. Any suggestions?

Hey kikumac,

I'm very sorry to hear that has happened, and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. If you're able to see on the screen that you're changing channels and sources, then the TV is still displaying info correctly and that would suggest some kind of connection problem.

So let me ask a few question. Are you using OTA TV or cable? If you're using cable, are both your Blu-ray player and STB connected via HDMI? Further, could you give me the complete model code for your TV? It should have a prefix like UN, LE, PA, etc. in front of the '32B460'.

It's cable (fibre op)and the STB and Blu-ray are connected by HDMI. I believe the prefix is LN (LN32B460)

Hey kikumac,

I don't want to push this off to another company, but I don't think it's a problem with the TV. Based upon the way you describe the behavior, the STB seems to be in control of these functions. I'd recommend speaking with your cable provider about it. Let us know the resolution here one way or the other, if you would.
