AllShare-Issue
We are having a small problem with de AllShare function of our Samsung HT-D6500 Home Cinema System.
After installing the AllShare application for PC on my laptop I tried to stream mp3-files to the HT-D6500 but it couldn't detect it. The awkward thing is that I can access my PC through that system.
Another awkard thing is that I can stream the files (.mp3/JPEG...) to the TV set (a Samsung UE40EH6030)
DLNA-Issue
Both of the previous named systems are connected to a WiFi-Accespoint (a Belkin N750DB) this accespoint has two USB-ports, on eone of them we've put an NTFS-drive from Freecom 1,5TB. Neither the TV-set nor the Home Cinema set can browse to a file. The only folders which can be accessed are inexisting folders (I hereby mean that these folders don't exist on the external HDD) and strange enough the existing folders can't be displayed/accessed by neither systems.
Network Configuration
The most important piece is the N750DB-router, every piece of equipment is connected to this machine either by ethernet-cably or wirelessly. I manually checked every device and they all belong to the same subnet: 192.168.2.XX

A lowest common denominator solution. Reading http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=543388 I see TWONKY but to get DLNA to function I found it TOO PICKY about file formats. That is, the audio video encoding support was always having me encode the content again.
This is why I ejected DLNA as it stands today and use a media player (Logitech Revue for example.)
I can only guess you have begun this search and didn't figure out that DLNA is not what it seems.

So if I understand you correctly then Twonky is better to use then DLNA.

Not bad but you still find content that can be trouble. Transcode such when that happens.

So, Twonky is the server you have to install on your computer, this will act as a sort of decoder for a random file. Is there a good free media server out there, I tried to use Serviio and Tvmobili but I can't figure out how to use them.
And for some reason the HT-D6500 dropped out of the network-folder (on windows 7 64-bit). I guess it is the device itself because not a single computer has it in the network-folder. I can't figure out that one neither since the HT-D6500 is attached to the belkin wirelesly and the IP is still the same as in the beginning.
Just to let you know that I realy appreciate all your help with this.

Did you find the Twonky as noted is in that other device?
Sorry but I can't fix DLNA. I can discuss it's shortcomings but for now there is no flip this setting to make it work. It was a nice idea but you are seeing where it's hit and miss.
Many folk repeat this lesson and I can't guess what you'll do to fix it. Here I forget DLNA and use a small media player or a laptop connected to the HDTV.

I guess the best solution for me will be a nice, long HDMI cable. By doing this I can add subtitle to 3D films which can't be read on the TV by using VLC.
To be honnest, I must say that I am rather disappointed by Samsung-software.
But anyway a real thumbs up for your help.

It's not so much the Samsung software in my opinion but the DLNA . org and the limitations of that system. Consumers expected much better.
