When can I buy a Galaxy 10.1 Verizon?

I have always used Samsung products. I love Samsung and Android. I never used an Apple product, and I don't want to. But...I am worried about this Samsung/Apple trial!! I am patiently waiting to purchase a Galaxy 10.1 tablet through Verizon (32gb/white). There is a ban right now, and I was told I can't get it. What will happen if Samsung loses this trial? Does that mean that I can never buy the Galaxy 10.1? And how about Galaxy SIII...will that be affected too? How long is this trial expected to be? Please explain this trial and what will happen.

Get one of Verizon's wifi hot spots and a non-cellular tablet. Sorry but it's unclear if anyone can explain that trial and more since it's all about the patents, the patent system and more.
