Issue with Samsung Series 7 TV

by jb2309 - 6/27/12 5:25 PM

Samsung TV UA55C7000WFXXY
I had issue with tv when a wifi adapter was connected. I reported to Samsung and after few horrible customer service experience Samsung send out a tech. He came checked the tv and reset the tv and upgraded the firmware. Issue still there and then reported to Samsung again. Second tech came and changed the main board as he saw problem with it. The problem was still there. After few troubleshooting my self with the tv decided not to use the wifi adapter and internet on the TV. Recently wanted to use the internet feature on the tv. Had a network cable run from the modem to the TV. The Tv has slow internet and buffering. Connected a laptop at the same point and works ok with 14meg speed. On tv shows me as only 1-3Meg. Called Samsung again. Once again Horrible customer service.

This is what they had to say

"Thank you for contacting Samsung customer Care,
The Network card supplied in your Samsung TV may vary from that
installed in your Laptop and this would suggest the difference in do
wnload speeds.
There may be settings that can be changed on your router/modem to
optimise the performance of the Internet connection on your TV.
The best thing to do would be to contact the manufacturer of your
Internet router to find out the optimal settings.
Thank you for contacting Samsung
Kind Regards,"

I went and bought another modem and checked the setting with service provider. All good as works on my laptop. I called Samsung again and adv the issue. They can accept that the network card on Samsung may be different from laptop so showing different speed, but will not accept that the fault in TV. They will not arrange for a Samsung repairer as the TV now falls out of warranty, when the issue was from the manufacturer warranty period. I don't want a extended warranty tech to have a look at the tv. After much of the rude customer service in 3 months , I went and bought a New Samsung bluray player BD-d5500 with smart Tv. This one works good at the same point and with the same TV.

Is there any issues with the Samsung series 7 3d Led tv lan card. Can I use the firmware similar to the Bluray player with my tv.
