Wireless connection issue

I have the n600 Netgear dual band router, but my Samsung 32PFL4907 only sees the 2.4 ghz signal. I know the 5.0 ghz signal is brodcasting because i can see it and connect to it with my iPad.

Does Samsung have either a firmware upgrade or an upgraded dongle that will detect the 5.0 GHz signal?

I already tried a 3rd party dongle, but it did not work

You need to use WPA2 AES personal security as well as be within 20 feet PLUS check with Samsung if this supports that wifi band.
