Here we go again! Purchased a samsung HL67A510J1FXZA back in SEPT 2008 it worked fine until June 2010 when it kept turning off and on. Had bought the unit from costco with 3yr warranty.Tech came to the house and replaced ballast,SMPS BD and samsung told them to replace the bulb also.Again it worked fine until may 2012.watching a movie all of sudden picture left with lines running across the tv in different colors then went blank, except for a light blinking in the front where it says lamp and the lamp in the back was lit.Called samsung was told by their reps to replace the bulb at 159.00 including shipping.replaced the bulb it lit in the back and you could hear the fan but still no picture and the lamp light blinking in the front.Spoke to their supervisor, was upset that I was told to replace a bulb when another tech told me that ,thats not a bulb problem and I would not have told you to replace it. Spoke to the executive customer sevice explained everything that happened and that I was upset that the had sold me something that I supposeidly didn't need. Not to mention that I need another tech to come to the house to figure out whats wrong and the cost. After reading other comments regarding the issues and problems with these TVs though when I had first thought of buying DLPs they were considered very little problems except for replacing the bulb every so offen. Boy was I wrong at this point I'm waiting to see how much, and then if its too much find out if I can return the bulb.To add injury to insult If I can return it I will have to pay the shipping and a 15% restocking fee!!! No way in hell will I be buying another samsung product again!!!
