AllShare lockups and very small video playback

I have a samsung LN40-630 tv and running allshare on pc it tends to lockup a lot. I un & reinstall, works for a while.Seems to happenalot when I start it and try to update the shared folder. This last time it would play the movie files that before worked fine,but the picture was very small 6 X 8 maybe,on pc they still work fine. If no solution is there any other program I can used to streem HD/mkv files.
Just remembered, I put one of these movies on a flash drive plugged in to tv and it still plays very small.

Have you tried a firmware upgrade yet? I ask because one came out on April 2, 2012. If not, you can download it from here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/LN40D630M3FXZA#firmware

That is the version I'm running. Tried reinstalling many times, same problem.
