elan touchpad scrollbars stopped working

It worked when i last used it before i used usb mouse..
i tried it again but for some reason, the edge scrollbars of my touchpad stopped working. I tried to rollback the driver version and found out that the vertical scroll bar worked but not the horizontal and other features of elan smart pad didn't work also.
Maybe it was so updated that i cannot roll it back to when it was working.
Anybody have an older version of the driver for elan smartpad that works for my samsung R439 laptop?

System Restore is not an option

I also had problems about my system restore that gives error message saying nothing was restored, but that's another subject.

That's a KNOWN ERROR and a good one to discuss.

Today I'm seeing that System Restore failure when Norton and Kapersky is installed. There may be other titles but these security suites IN MY OPINION are creating more problems then they are solving.

Both of those have web pages on how to disable something and let System Restore do its thing.

Mine did. But that wasn't a Samsung (but MSI).

sori.. i totally forgot that a disc that reinstalls drivers is included when i bought it. it solved the prob..
