Samsung scx-4826fn fax not working

hi i recently purchased the above mentioned unit-unfortunately the fax machine is not receiving or sending faxes. I have tried a few different fax numbers to send to but none appear to be working. any ideas on what i could do to remedy?

hshah03,

If your fax printer is not sending or receiving faxes, check for the following:

- Printer is On
- In Fax mode
- The connection line is working; check for a dial tone
- Is displaying an error message on its LCD Display.

If after all those things, the fax still isn't working. Respond back and let me know:
- When the problem started
- Did it ever work properly?
- What changed
