Internal Crack on 58" Plasma - out of warrenty - HELP

Purchase a 58" Plasma PN58B540S3FXZA, which is about 7 months out of the standard 12 month factory warranty.
While changing the channel, TV went dark, upon inspection, there was the infamous internal star crack.
Long story short, Samsung Executive Customer Relations told me that I had to "shoulder" the entire cost to fix my television.
From what I've read on other discussions, it seems I have to do the BBB and NJ State Attorney complaint to get anywhere.
Is there anything I can do where I'm not giving the run around?
