Hi
I just bought a new Blueray player and one of the aims was to play DVD movies / photos / music from my NAS server I have.
I did a test and put into a movie that I ripped from a disc that i bought.
The problem is that when I play this, I have two folders, a VIDEO_TS and a AUDIO_TS
I have to go into the VIDEO_TS and start menu manual.Then I noticed that I can not select either Play, Setup, Language or something.I simply had to start the movie from the first chapter. Well then I pressed the Subtitle button on the remote and it did not work either.
How the heck do I get the DVD movie to play as a DVD? I want to obviously be able to select subtitles also.My plan to rip the discs to my NAS server and have it as a library seems to **** itself more and more: (. What should you have streaming if selected to if you still can not use it?
Is it possible to replace the media player found in the Samsung to one that works?
I feel a little disappointed, but I do not know if I done something wrong?
Any guru who knows?

Frankly, that's something a PC might do well along with some of those things like Google TV boxes. You didn't do anything wrong but have a little high amount of expectations.
That's not a PC in those players and most do not work with NAS boxes or as many file types as our PC.
It's that simple.
And no, because this player is a closed system you can't replace the apps in the box.

Well i explained what i wanted to do when i bought this from the store and the guy said.Thats why you have a wifi connection so you can stream your backed up DVD,s,pictures and music.
So its not possible to run a DVD from the computer with Subs? Damn that sux 
,It sux that i didn't know this before i bought this i mean

But only under very specific conditions and maybe those would be from a DLNA source, or sometimes, those special NAS that know how to send stuff to other than PCs.
And also if the content encoding is perfect.
They may not have fibbed too badly.
