Hello,
I have a 59D6900 TV which has an internal wifi connection which can be used to connect to the internet. I had this working before but never used it and have recently changed router as we switched to fibre optic internet as it was much faster. I now try to connect the TV to the router but I cannot get it to work. All other devices work ok (Xbox, 2x Iphone, 4xPC) all wireless.
I have tried manual settings of IP address etc and auto but it doesn't work. I can sometimes get it to connect to the router what the TV calls local connection but it cannot connect to the internet. I spoke to my ISP and they changed some settings and it connect to the internet once but won't again even with the same settings. Sometimes it won't even connect to the router locally without changing anything.
The error I get most of the time is "local connection completed, but cannot connect to the Internet. Check the DNS setting from network setting and contact your internet service provider to use internet". I tried that but they change a few bits but didn't work and said because everything else is ok its your TV. Is there a particular encryption type you have to use as the manual does not say?
