I have a Samsung Syncmaster 2233. When I turn it on, it first senses the inputs, and I see a rectangle in the top left corner that says "Digital" or "Analog", based on which input I have connected.
Then the monitor shows the picture, for 1.0 seconds, and then goes black. It feels like exactly 1 second every time. It doesn't flicker or make noise, it just silently goes black.
Sometimes, if I hit the Auto button, I can see the picture for another 1.0 second. But the most reliable method is to turn the monitor back off and back on, which always results in me seeing 1 second of the picture.
I tested the digital input with my desktop, and the analog with my laptop, and both behave the same way, so it's not not related to my video card.
I'd appreciate any tips people can give. Thanks!
